Every so often, a project reminds us what small-business support can make possible. Neatrique Cleaning is one of those projects.
Neatrique Cleaning is an Ottawa-based residential and commercial cleaning company that received support through Starter Company Plus. The Ontario program is delivered locally by Invest Ottawa and combines business training and mentorship with an opportunity for eligible entrepreneurs to pitch for a grant of up to $5,000.
That kind of support can help a new business move from an idea to real operations. Then the next challenge arrives: customers need to find the business, understand what it offers and feel confident enough to get in touch.
That is where a good website has to start doing real work.

Neatrique’s founder first reached out to The Speed Train through Fiverr. After the initial conversation and several follow-up meetings, we had a much clearer picture of what the business needed.
This could not be a simple online brochure.
Neatrique needed a website that could explain its services, show the quality of its work, build trust with Ottawa homeowners and businesses, and guide interested visitors towards requesting a consultation.
We chose WordPress with Elementor so the Neatrique team could continue updating prices, photographs and content after handoff without depending on a developer for every small change.
For an early-stage business working with a limited startup budget, that independence matters.
We designed and delivered a complete website with one consistent visual and content system.
The home page introduces Neatrique’s commercial cleaning offer immediately, with a clear value proposition, proof points and calls to action visible near the top of the page.
Dedicated residential and commercial cleaning pages help visitors understand which service is right for them. Standard and deep-cleaning information is presented clearly, while real photographs help customers see the results rather than relying on generic stock imagery.
Industry-specific content speaks directly to the needs of offices, healthcare facilities, restaurants, retail spaces, gyms and other commercial environments. This gives potential clients information that feels relevant to their own workplace instead of forcing every visitor through the same general sales message.
Every important path eventually leads to a focused consultation form. Instead of collecting only a name and email address, the form gathers the project details Neatrique needs to understand the space, service requirements and scheduling expectations before responding.
The result is a website designed to support the sales conversation before that conversation even begins.
Local visibility was part of the structure from the beginning.
The website clearly identifies the areas Neatrique serves, including Ottawa, Kanata, Nepean, Orléans, Barrhaven and surrounding communities. That information helps customers confirm that the company works in their area and gives Neatrique a stronger foundation for local search visibility.
Service pages, industry content, location signals, customer reviews and clear contact routes all work together. These are the details that help an Ottawa service business become easier to find and easier to trust.
Startup funding is finite. A grant may need to support equipment, insurance, professional services, marketing and many other early expenses.
The website portion of that investment should therefore continue creating value long after the initial launch.
For Neatrique, that meant building around three priorities:
This is the difference between treating a website as a startup expense and building it as a long-term business asset.
The Speed Train is an Ontario-based web design agency, while Neatrique Cleaning serves customers in Ottawa and the surrounding area.
Working remotely did not mean building from a distance. The project was shaped through conversations, review meetings and ongoing feedback until the website accurately reflected how Neatrique wanted to present its services and work with its customers.
The funding helped the business get started. The strategy helped turn that opportunity into something customers can find, understand and act on.
Programs such as Starter Company Plus can give Ontario entrepreneurs valuable support at the beginning of their journey. What happens next depends on how that support is invested.
Neatrique used the opportunity to build a professional online presence that can keep working as the company grows. We were proud to help create it.
